Heather Hale’s dozen years in the entertainment industry span the reaches of “show” and “biz.” 

A Director, Screenwriter and Independent Producer, she is currently in pre-production on Witness Insecurity, her directorial feature film debut while post-production wraps on Ghost Writer, the one-hour drama series pilot she just shot.

Her credits include over 50 hours of award-winning productions, including The Courage to Love, the $5.5 million dollar 2000 Lifetime Original Movie she sold off of a spec screenplay after attaching Vanessa L. Williams to star opposite Diahann Carroll, Gil Bellows and Stacy Keach. 

The two reality series, The Evidence and Lifestyle Magazine, that she wrote and produced for Faith for Today TV, won two Tellys and “Best New Series Pilot” while the two distance learning edutainment series she wrote for PBS (KOCE): Personal Finance: Dollars and $ense and Psychology: The Human Experience both won a host of industry awards.

Heather was The Director of Event Programming for The National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) and is an active contributor to the entertainment community as a member of The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Storyboard and Showbiz Mensans; a mentor and teacher to virtually every organization in town including: The Scriptwriters Network, The Film Industry Network, The Hollywood Black Film Festival, The Moondance International Film Festival and The Story Project, to name just a few; and is currently a trustee for the Sally Picow Foundation and a Mentor Board Member for Kids Making Movies.

Heather has served as a judge for hundreds of TV, film and script competitions worldwide, most notably: The ABC/Disney Fellowship, The Hartley-Merrill International Screenwriting Competition and Genoa Italy’s new ENDAS International as well as serving as the official national script consultant for The American Screenwriters Association.

An in-demand keynote speaker, workshop leader and industry expert, Heather lectures and consults globally on careers in entertainment, writing and business development for traditional and new media as well as her trademark PowerNetworking strategies for entrepreneurs as well as movers and shakers in the Corporate and Collegiate arenas.

Heather is also available during camp for a very limited number of private one-on-one sessions.

1 hour session:                                              $195
2 hour session:                                              $395
2 hours/PLUS preview of script BEFORE camp      $495

What are some of the things Heather can cover in the private sessions?:

*Review business plans, social media marketing strategies, budgets, trailers, storyboards, shot lists, schedules, pitch materials, etc. and/or do pitch practice (for scripts, films or TV)
*Entertainment industry career consulting
*Ten page read of any combination of either the script and/or synopsis or query letter, pilot, bible, etc. and 45 minutes reviewing that material with you
* Full two-hour screenplay analysis - you send your entire
screenplay to Heather at least two weeks in advance, she will read it and give you extensive written notes that she will review with you during your private session with her.

These spaces are extremely limited so you will need to book your time ASAP to ensure you are guaranteed personal time with Heather.
